EEZY SPLIT split-frame folding electric wheelchair
The EEZY SPLIT is a folding electric wheelchair that separates into two sections at the press of a button, so you lift it into the car one piece at a time. With the batteries out, the front section weighs 16 kg and the rear 10.3 kg.
Dual 500 W brushless motors, large rear wheels and front suspension suit pavements and uneven ground. The chair carries a user of up to 180 kg and travels up to 25 km on its two 24V 6Ah lithium batteries.

Does the EEZY SPLIT fit in a car boot?
It folds to 810 × 600 × 340 mm and separates into two sections. Designed to suit most hatchback, estate and SUV boots. Always check the folded dimensions against your vehicle. You can also visit our Wimborne or West Drayton showroom to try it with your car.
How heavy is each half of the EEZY SPLIT?
The front section weighs 16 kg and the rear section 10.3 kg, both measured without batteries. Both batteries sit in the front section, one either side of the frame, and each weighs 1.6 kg, so the front section is 19.2 kg as it comes off the chair and the rear section is 10.3 kg. The complete chair is 26.3 kg without batteries and 29.5 kg with them.
How does the EEZY SPLIT separate?
Fold the chair, then press the release button: the frame separates into a front section and a rear section that can be lifted one at a time. Reassembly reverses the process.
Can one person load the EEZY SPLIT into a car?
Many people can, because the heaviest single lift is the front section rather than the whole chair: 19.2 kg with the batteries left in place, or 16 kg once they slide out. The rear section is 10.3 kg. Whether it is right for you depends on your own lifting ability. If you are unsure, try it at a showroom or ask us for advice.

What is the driving range?
Up to 25 km from a full charge. Real-world range varies with user weight, terrain, temperature and speed.
Can the batteries be removed?
Yes. Both batteries sit in the front section and slide out of each side of the frame, so the user can remove them easily: for charging, for reducing the front section from 19.2 kg to 16 kg, or before air travel. The rear section carries no batteries.
Can I take the EEZY SPLIT on an aeroplane?

Do I need a wheelchair ramp or vehicle hoist?
Often not, because the chair can be lifted in two sections. The heaviest is the 19.2 kg front section, or 16 kg once both batteries are slid out. If you or your carer cannot safely lift that, a ramp or hoist may still be the better option.
