Delivery & Customs
Ordering a Wheelchair or Scooter from the UK: Delivery, Customs and VAT Explained
Buying from outside the UK? Here's how our free worldwide delivery works, what import duties and taxes you might pay on arrival, and how VAT is handled.
Is delivery really free outside the UK?
Yes. Delivery is free on every order, to every country we ship to — the UK, the EU, the Gulf and beyond. There's no minimum spend and nothing is added for delivery at checkout.
What you see in your cart is what you pay us. The only extra costs for overseas orders are any import charges set by your own country, which are explained below.
Which countries do you deliver to?
We deliver across the European Union (including Ireland, France, Germany, Spain, Italy and the Netherlands), the Gulf (UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain and Oman), plus Norway, Switzerland, Iceland, the United States, Gibraltar, Monaco, Jersey, Guernsey and the Isle of Man.
If your country isn't listed, give us a call on +44 20 8050 4849 (Mon–Fri, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM BST) and we'll let you know what's possible.
What are import duties and taxes?
When goods arrive from outside your country's customs area, your government may charge import VAT (or a local sales tax) and, for some products, customs duty. Since Brexit this applies to orders from the UK into the EU too.
These charges are set by your country, not by us, so we can't include or refund them. They're usually collected by the courier before or on delivery.
How much might I pay?
It depends on your country and the product. Import VAT is typically charged at your country's standard rate — for example around 23% in Ireland or 20% in France — on the value of the goods.
Many countries charge reduced or zero rates on equipment designed for disabled people, so mobility products can be cheaper to import than everyday goods. Check your national customs or tax authority's website for the exact rate before ordering.
What about UK VAT on overseas orders?
Our prices are shown excluding UK VAT. UK VAT only applies to UK deliveries — and UK customers who qualify can claim VAT relief on eligible mobility products.
For orders delivered outside the UK, you're not paying UK VAT on top. Any tax due is your own country's import VAT, collected on arrival.
How long does international delivery take?
Overseas orders are sent with a tracked international courier. You'll get tracking details once your order ships so you can follow it to your door.
Customs checks can occasionally add a day or two, especially if the courier needs to collect import charges first — keeping your phone and email up to date at checkout helps it go smoothly.
