No. HMRC requires a signed declaration only — no doctor's letter, no paperwork. You'll tick a box and complete a short declaration in the cart at checkout. We keep the record for HMRC.

20% — the full UK VAT rate. The discount is applied automatically in your cart when you confirm eligibility.

Can I claim it for someone else?

Yes — you can purchase on behalf of an eligible person (a parent, partner, child). Just complete the declaration in their name.

What's covered by the 2-year warranty?

All manufacturing defects, motor, electronics and frame. Wear-and-tear items (tyres, brake pads) and battery capacity loss are not covered. Batteries themselves carry a 12-month warranty.

Can I return it if it's not right?

Yes — you have 14 days from delivery to return for a full refund, no questions asked. The product must be unused and in original packaging.

Yes — we offer in-house servicing for every model we sell. Spares (batteries, controllers, tyres) are kept in stock for the life of the product line.

Are spare batteries available?

Yes. Genuine replacement batteries for every chair and scooter we sell are available from our accessories page. We never go end-of-life on a product without warning.

Can I take my Eezychair on a plane?

Yes — all of our powered wheelchairs and scooters use lithium batteries that meet IATA regulations. Check with your airline before travel. We provide an IATA compliance certificate with every order.

Will it fit in the boot of my car?

All our folding chairs are designed to fit in a standard hatchback boot — many fit in a Mini or Fiat 500. Check the folded dimensions on each product page, or use our Help Me Choose tool.

Is it OK in the rain?

Our chairs are rated for everyday use in light to moderate rain. We don't recommend riding through heavy downpours or submerging in puddles — the controllers and motors are weather-resistant, not waterproof.

What's the difference between carbon and aluminium frames?

Accepted Answer

Carbon fibre is roughly 30% lighter than aluminium and significantly stronger. It costs more but makes the chair easier to lift and carry. Aluminium chairs are still light by industry standards and a good value choice.
