Buying Guide
Folded sizes and lifting weights for every model, matched against typical UK car boots — so you know it fits before you buy.
Typical UK boot sizes
A small hatchback (think Ford Fiesta or Vauxhall Corsa) has roughly 290–310 litres of boot space. A family hatchback (Golf, Focus) is around 380 litres, and an estate or SUV offers 500 litres or more. The opening height matters as much as the volume — a low saloon boot lip can be trickier than a smaller but squarer hatchback opening.
Folded dimensions are more useful than broad car-size labels. For the EEZY SPLIT: Designed to suit most hatchback, estate and SUV boots. Always check the folded dimensions against your vehicle.
Weight matters as much as size
A chair that fits the boot but is too heavy to lift into it doesn't solve the problem. That's why we list a lifting weight for every model — the Eezy Carbon at 13 kg is a genuine one-handed lift for most people, while the 30 kg Eezy Scooter suits households where two people share the lift or a small ramp is used.
The Eezy Split takes a different approach: it weighs 29.5 kg complete but separates into a front section and a 10.3 kg rear section, so no single lift is the whole chair. Both 1.6 kg batteries sit in the front section, one either side of the frame, which makes it 19.2 kg as it comes off the chair and 16 kg once you slide them out. If lifting is your main concern, splitting the weight beats shaving a kilogram off a single piece.
Measuring your boot before you buy
Measure the boot opening (width and height), the boot depth with the seats up, and the height from boot floor to the parcel shelf. Compare those against the folded dimensions on each product page — all three numbers need to fit, not just the volume.
If you're between two models, visit one of our showrooms in Wimborne or West Drayton and try the lift for yourself — or call us on +44 20 8050 4849 (Mon–Fri, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM BST) and we'll talk through your car.
